One Response to “Cloud Computing”

  1. Daniel Moore says:

Cloud computing can give a few problems including less control over data, difficulty in proving compliance, and there are a few legal risks as data moves from one place to another , particularly if the data centre is located in a different country., according to a recent assessment of the risks from the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA).

However, quite a few large, enterprise level companies have adopted this method which shows their faith in the system. A lot of the risks outlined in the report could just as easily be a risk in housing your own storage/server set-up. Overall, it’s much more cost effective and looks to be just as secure if not, more secure than having your own solution.
